Flazzle Desktop Software
Users may optionally submit error reports using the "Feature Request" menu
item under the "Help" menu of Flazzle Desktop. There is also a feature in Flazzle
which reports bugs and potential problems to us when they occur automatically. It should be noted that this
is at all times totally optional and is only submitted when a person voluntarily
clicks the "Send" button. Though we have tried to remove as much sensitive information
as possible, some reports may contain personal information.
The user is given the opportunity to see the contents of the bug report to
make sure the information is not sensitive before submitting it to us. The information which is submitted
includes the following:
- Category: Category for manual bug/feature requests
- Description: In the case of automatic bug reports, the traceback
and the line of our code which contains the problem is included to help
us fix the problem, and in manual mode is a typed bug/feature request.
- E-mail: The user's e-mail address. Totally optional and blank by default.
It is only used if we need more information to solve a problem.
We will not share it with any third parties.
- File: If the problem occurred when importing a file, it includes the
first 50 bytes to help us fix the problem.
- Version: Shows the Flazzle version.
- Locale: Records your computer's locale, e.g. English US.
- Windows Version/Platform: Records your operating system and version,
e.g. Windows XP SP2
- Free Ram/Hard Disk Space: The amount of storage left on your computer.
- The Config File: Flazzle's "Flazzle.plist" preferences file, usually located in the
"C:\Documents and Settings\(Your Username)\Application Data\Flazzle" directory.
This may include extra information like the selected fonts. We remove any database information
which prevents sensitive information like saved usernames and passwords from being transferred.
- Program Arguments: The arguments which the program has been launched with.
- Serial: The serial which has been masked into a unique code. It does
not submit the actual serial.
- Unique Id: This is an anonymous, random id generated on first use of Flazzle so
that we can identify which computer the error occurred on and has no
relation to your IP address.
