Accents

Accent selectors are designed to input a small number of characters, and are especially useful for entering accents from Latin-derived languages, for example French or Italian. It may also be useful for entering romanized versions of scripts other than Latin, like Thai or Arabic. Note that this input method requires a keyboard which can type the 26 Latin characters from a-Z to access all characters.

For example, typing 'u' will pop up a window with accents, and you can press a number to finish. To enter other characters that can't be accessed using the Latin letters on your keyboard, press the 'Insert Character' button to the left of the input control to show a menu of other characters.
